Gary Farrar


Gary leads BKD’s innovation process and digital business strategy. Gary has over 40 years of experience in senior management roles, including five years as BKD’s Chief Information Officer. Prior to joining BKD, Gary was Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer for a major financial institution in Texas, and he managed multiple data centers throughout the U.S. for a Fortune 1000 firm. Gary has provided consulting and project management training to many organizations, including Wal-Mart, Kraft, and Tyson Foods.

Gary holds B.S. and MBA degrees from Louisiana Tech University, is a graduate of the ABA Graduate School of Banking, and holds the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute.

Gary and his wife, Carolyn, have three adult children and four grandchildren. Gary is a Court Appointed Special Advocate for abused and neglected children who are in foster care.
